Meet Beverley

"I feel privileged and rewarded to have worked with so many amazing people who have come to me for help to reach their full potential and enjoy a happier life."

Beverley Price

Where it all began...

As a young person, I cared a lot. I always took an interest in people and their lives, and I felt a strong desire to help others. As I grew up, I became a great listener and confidant, a loyal friend, and the owner of an abundance of empathy.

I was first introduced to the idea of counselling while I was working as an Administration Officer supporting two drug and alcohol counsellors in a prison. I soon realised that I had the skills to offer non-judgemental and empathic listening and felt I could be of great benefit to those people who were feeling stuck in their lives, by enabling them to express themselves.

Compassion & understanding

This led to the beginning of my counselling story, and although the training was lengthy and demanding at times, it was enlightening and fulfilling and it introduced me into a world of compassion and understanding - something that I now know was a fundamental part of me and not something I had needed to learn. I had now found my purpose.

My counselling experience started as a volunteer with Cruse, the bereavement charity, helping people with the loss of a loved one and coming to terms with their grief. As my learning developed, I started a Counselling role in a college setting and then into relationship work with couples and families at Relate. I am now a psychotherapist counsellor supporting individuals, couples and families.

"Beverley has a very kind and understanding approach which has really helped me to feel comfortable enough to talk about and think more about my problems, which in turn has helped me to come to terms with a lot of my issues and be kinder to myself and has really helped my self esteem. It's nice to have your thoughts and feelings validated and be able to work through them and understand them."

  • Improving people's lives

One of my proudest moments to date has been setting up my own private practice in 2014. Creating my business has not only brought reward and fulfilment to my soul but my work with clients has noticeably improved their lives.

I see Changing Seasons Counselling as a reflection of the change in people's circumstances throughout their lives; just like the seasons, ever changing, as individuals we have the ability to change and grow, bringing new beginnings and new opportunities. I work with my clients to embrace change.

    My Services

"I spent many years making sense of who I was, learning about behaviours (including my own!) and developing my own confidence, all of which has made me the intuitive and understanding psychotherapist counsellor I am today."

"Beverley immediately put me at ease and truly made me feel like her equal during the sessions we had. She worked hard to understand how I felt and she gave me the tools I needed to better understand and accept myself. I would absolutely recommend Changing Seasons to anyone thinking about counselling."

"The curious paradox is that when I accept myself just as I am, then I can change.”
